Terms of Use

By using this site (and on case purchasing an item) you agree to all terms stated in the Policies section. For more information, see the Terms & Conditions page.

Please read carefully all of the terms before making a purchase, or any other action.

Privacy Policy

In order to complete orders, the website receives the following data: name, physical address and email address. These data are securely stored and not distributed to any third parties other than the necessary ones, such as shipping carriers and providers. We do not receive and therefore do not store, sensitive information such as credit card information, as they are handled in the secure environments set up by Paypal and other Banks.

Payment
Payment is possible via the following methods:
  • cash (available only when picking up the item in person in Bern city)
  • TWINT
  • Paypal
Online payment is due immediately after purchase. Cash payment is due upon delivery.
Reservation on items is not possible.
Cancellations

Orders are processed as soon as possible after purchase (depends on time of order and availability). There are expected delays on public holidays and high-traffic seasons (eg. Christmas). You will receive email notifications about the status of your order.

Orders can be cancelled and fully refunded in a period of 24 hours after purchase on the condition that the item has not shipped.

Returns & Refunds

Let me know if you are not satisfied with your purchase. I will try to find a suitable solution.

 

A return and refund of a purchase is eligible only if:

  • the item(s) is(are) undamaged, complete and in the same condition as delivered
  • a return is requested in no more than 14 days after the time of package arrival

The customer is responsible for the return’s shipping costs. Exceptions apply in the case where there is an error, such as:

  • when receiving an item that was not ordered
  • when receiving the wrong item (when variations apply)
  • when wrong information is provided in the online shop
  • when receiving an incomplete product

 

Individual investigation is reserved for items that arrive with damaged packaging. Please keep all relevant shipping receipts and contact me as soon as possible in such a case.

 

Returns and refunds do not apply to custom orders and digital items.

Shipping

I ship internationally.

The default shipping method is Registered B Priority Post and is being carried out by the Swiss Post. A tracking code is provided by default for all items and emailed to you as soon as an order has been shipped.

Shipping rates are calculated automatically during checkout and are based on the total weight of items in the cart. The final shipping cost is calculated based on the shipping rates of the Swiss Post. There is the base shipping cost for each item, plus the cost to fill out the customs declaration form (for shipping out of Switzerland).

I ship to the Shipping Address that is provided during checkout and not the Billing Address (unless they are the same). This means that there is the option to purchase and send a gift directly to it’s recipient.

Customers outside of Switzerland are responsible for any customs fees, or import duty taxes.

 

The shop is based in Bern, Switzerland. Please note that delays by customs processes can alter the numbers below considerably.

Estimated Delivery Times

  • Switzerland: up to 5-7 working days
  • Europe: up to 8-12 working days
  • US, Canada, Australia and the rest of the world: 3-4 weeks

If you do not receive your package, or any notification about it for a period over 40 days, please contact me.

Packaging & Gift wrapping

For the packaging I try to use what is already there in an effort to re-use and not create a demand for new materials. I have various materials at hand that were given away (old shop stock). I try not to use plastic, but if materials like bubblewrap are present, this means that they are coming from previously delivered packages. I prepare each order very carefully in order to keep items intact during their journey.

Intellectual Property

Content that is generated by Über den Traum, which includes but does not limit to: Über den Traum logos, knitting & crochet patterns, instantly downloadable digital items (eg cards, tags, templates), images and text, is licenced under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.

Commercial use of my work is not allowed, but I do encourage share alike adaptations. Attribution is obligatory in all cases. Credit must be given to www.uberdentraum.com.
