Collection One: Origins
The theme of the first collection is “Origins”. I created this collection for the local yarn store fraukuhn.
I have been working as a knitting instructor at the yarn store in this location for several years. With the business takeover by Simone Kuhn, the assortment of yarns changed, resulting in many qualities that are no longer produced or no longer have a place in the store. For these high-quality materials, I wanted to create a collection that includes both knitting and crochet designs.
My personal story is closely intertwined with this yarn store. During my initial time in Switzerland, Wollwirrware (now fraukuhn) was an important anchor and integration point. As a result, the six designs now bear names of places from my first 27 years and names of places where I feel at home today.
The collection contains 6 knitting and crochet designs for accessories: two beanies, two pairs of mittens and two shawls.
The modern and unisex designs are worked with basic techniques and bulky yarns, which makes them ideal for instant gratification projects. They are also great for using up stash, when for example working with multiple yarn strands.
The patterns are available in two languages: English and German.
